1. The sheepskin and leather we use is a by-product of the farming industry. This means that the demand for meat is far greater than the demand for leathers, so we make use of an available raw material that would otherwise go to waste and be disposed of. 
2. Our slippers are designed to last for a very long time, often many years. This is the opposite of fast fashion. 
3. Most of our suppliers are British tanneries, and some materials come from a tannery in Belgium. The animal skins originate in those countries, and the standard of animal welfare is extremely high-actually the best in the world.
4. We still manufacture sheepskin slippers in our own factory in Glastonbury, Somerset, England. This means there are low air miles involved in producing them.
5. We use sustainable packaging that is fully recyclable. We avoid plastic and only use cardboard and paper.
6. As we are a manufacturer, we are able to repair faulty items as opposed to simply throwing them away. We do this wherever possible.

Our sheepskins mostly come from a tannery in Devon. The skins originate in the UK, mainly the south west region. Other sheepskins we use come from a tannery in Belgium and the sheepskins originate in that area as well as Britain.

Yes, our sheepskin slippers are entirely handmade. They are hand turned and hand lasted. Our slippers are made using the ‘turn slipper’ construction, which means they are cut and stitched inside out, before being turned as they are finished. It requires a strong pair of hands and is a highly skilled job to turn slippers.

Sheepskin, suede and leather can be wiped with a damp cloth using mild detergent, no bleach. Afterwards, leave the slippers to dry naturally, away from direct sunlight or anything too hot. Let them dry at room temperature. Once they have dried and are clean, you can comb the wool to renew the appearance and brush the suede using a stiff suede brush. Do not wash using a washing machine or tumble drier.

Yes, there is no reason why you should avoid sheepskin slippers during pregnancy. They are naturally antibacterial and naturally hypoallergenic. They are great during pregnancy, as they will keep your feet very comfortable and can help with circulation of swollen ankles.
